Display Settings

Your Display Settings settings control what your cards look like and what text is shown on them. These settings also change the appearance of your Duel screen and how cards in play are arranged.

To open the Display Settings window, click the Settings icon on the Magic Online screen. Then scroll right to the Display tab.

You can also open the Display Settings window by right-clicking in the play area during a game.

Note: Display Settings settings are stored on your computer. If multiple players use the same computer, they should check their Display Settings each time they play Magic Online.

Background
You can choose the background used for your in-play area by scrolling left or right. The background you set will be seen by your opponent(s) and you will see their background selection.
Creatures above lands
While this check box is selected, your creatures in play will be shown at the top of your in-play area. If this check box is cleared, your creatures will appear at the bottom of your in-play area.

Automatically resize cards
While this check box is selected, the Magic Online game will change the size of cards in play to fit on your screen. Enchanted permanent on top
While this check box is selected, enchanted permanents will be shown on top of their enchantments. You'll see the entire card face of an enchanted permanent, but only the names and mana costs of  enchantments on it. If this check box is cleared, enchantments will be shown on top of the permanents they enchant. You'll see the entire card face of enchantments, but only the name and mana cost of their enchanted permanents.

While this check box is selected, some Magic keywords will appear shaded on the large card images on the left of the Duel, Collection, Deck Builder, and Deck Editor screens. You can click a shaded keyword to see its definition. If this check box is cleared, the keywords won't be shaded and you won't be able to click on them for definitions.

While this check box is selected, all the card text you see will be in English. If this check box is cleared, you'll see all card text in the language your version of the Magic Online game uses.

While this check box is selected, you'll see Oracle text on cards during games and in your collection.  If this check box is cleared, you'll only see a card's text as the card was printed.

Size of Cards in Hand
The cards in your hand can be displayed in one of four sizes:

Pop-up Card Text Delay
If you point to a Magic Online card, a pop-up window with the card's complete text will appear. This slider changes how long the mouse must point at the card before the pop-up window appears. The further the slider is to the right, the longer the delay.

Your Cards in Play/Other Players' Cards in Play
The options under Your Cards in Play change the way your cards in play are shown. The Other Players' Cards in Play options do the same for all other players' cards. There are three settings under each: Card Size, Land Arrangement, and Tapped Cards.

Card Size
Cards in play can be shown in one of four sizes. If you have the Automatically resize cards check box selected, cards in play won't be shown any larger than the Card Size you set.

Land Arrangement
These settings change how lands are stacked while they're in play.

If you select this option, lands aren't stacked at all.

If you select one of these options, the lands will be stacked as shown. Stacks are separated by land type, with no more than three lands in each stack.

Tapped Cards
Tapped permanents can be shown in two ways.

Size of Cards in Deck Editor
These options set the size your cards are on the Deck Builder and Deck Editor screens.
